Dinner with UK minister

In May 2013 Schlumbergers was one of 11 companies that attended a 'PILOT' dinner to 'discuss climate change and energy issues' with environment minister Ed Davey . These included Oil and Gas UK, BP, Shell, Amec, Centrica, CNR International, Cairn Energy, Apache, OGN Group, STUC. [1]

Iraq sanctions-busting

US oil services parent company Schlumberger reportedly got round sanctions imposed on Iraq by using foreign subsidiaries to win lucrative contracts. [3]
