SRU employed [Peter Mandelson] in the early 1990s. In his unauthorised biography of Mandelson, Paul Routledge investigated how 'Mandy' managed to pay for his very expensive porperty in Notting Hill. According to Rountdge: 'His work for SRU, the consultancy started by style guru Peter York, in the early nineties brought him about the same salary (approx £28,000) - on his own admission.'
