Rebecca Harris is the Conservative MP for Castle Point. She was elected in May 2010 with a majority vote of 7,632. [1]

Background

Before entering parliament Harris spent the majority of her working life in business, principally with Phillimore & Co, a specialist publishers of British local history. [2]

More recently Harris worked as a special adviser to Tim Yeo while he was shadow secretary of state for the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Health, Department for Education Education, Department for Transport and the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs respectively, in the last Parliament.
