Ray Takeyh (born 1966, Tehran) is an Iranian-American scholar of Assyrian ancestry who formerly served as an aide to Israel lobby hawk Dennis Ross and as a fellow at AIPAC think tank Washington Institute for Near East Policy. An Iran hawk, Takeyh is currently a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. He is also a contributing editor of The National Interest. On 30 July 2010 he co-wrote with Steven Simon an op-ed in the Washington Post which Time editor Tony Karon has described as 'a "how-to-bomb Iran" manual.'[1][2]
