Rachael Maskell has been the Labour Party (Co-op) Member of Parliament for York Central since May 2015. [1]

Maskell replaced Hugh Bayley as the Labour parliamentary candidate in 2015 as he chose to step down from politics. [2] In the 2015 election, Maskell defended the seat with a majority of 6,716. [1]

She was appointed to the membership of the Health Select Committee in November 2015. [3]
