Patrick Loughran is a former UK government special adviser to Lord Mandelson in the Department for Business Innovation & Skills. [1]

Loughran now works as director of strategy at Blue Rubicon, a PR and lobbying consultancy firm, and as director at Thirty Six Strategy. [1] At Blue Rubicon, Loughran advises clients on strategic positioning, competitive framing, and messaging; applying 'the lessons that he learnt from his experience of developing strategy and winning campaign narratives for New Labour’s successful election campaigns'. [2]

Background

Patrick was special adviser to Lord Mandelson from from October 2008 till April 2010. He also previously worked as a special adviser at Number 10 Downing Street and at the Cabinet Office. Before working in government, Patrick worked 'at the heart of new Labour’s campaign successes' as head of research. [2]

Education

Loughran studied Politics at the University of Exeter. [1]
