It was executed on 30 March 2004 and is sometimes referred to as the fertiliser plot or the the fertiliser bomb plot.The plot was understood to be an Al-Qaeda operation that was ordered by 'senior al-Qaeda figures in Pakistan and Afghanistan,'[1] which aimed to bomb a series of targets in the United Kingdom. The ringleader and commander of the plot was Omar Khyam of Crawly.
