Nick Watts is a Policy Director, and is a freelance International defence policy and strategy advisor.

He was Secretary to the Commission on the Commonwealth, set up by Francis Maude MP from June 2000-March 2001. He was previously Director of the cross-party “Future of Europe Trust”, based in the House of Commons from 1991-99. As Director of FET, he travelled extensively in central Europe and Russia, meeting many of the current generation of political leaders as they progressed up the career ladder.
