Prior to attending university Lamb worked at retailers John Lewis as a call centre administrator. Whilst at university, he had short-term work experience with Universal Music Publishing Group and MRM Meteorite and worked for two years as a merchandiser for Firebrand Live Ltd.

After graduating, Lamb undertook two three-month internships, the first was as a public affairs and corporate communications department at lobbyists Portland Communications and then working for Liberal Democrats MP Lorely Burt.

In January 2015 he began working for GK Strategy, first as a media and digital researcher and then a media and digital account executive.[1] Lamb's job was declared on his father's Register of Members' Financial Interests due him being 'engaged in lobbying the public sector on behalf of a third party or client'.[2]
