Naace is a lobby group for education technology in the UK.

It lobbies for 'the appropriate use' of technology in schools, 'not just as a specialist subject but across all curriculum areas and to assist with whole school improvement'.[1] Miles Berry of Naace said:

'Recent ministerial speeches suggest that political thinking is now recognising the powerful contribution which digital technology can make to learning and teaching in schools. Naace’s voice in this conversation is an important one... access, touch screen interfaces, the blog as a global platform form pupils’ voice, and an increasingly critical awareness of the role of data, and its use by government and business all feature prominently on the education agenda.'[2]

Naace is a Registered Charity with an associated Trading Company, Naace (Trading) Ltd. It was previously known as the National Association of Advisers for Computers in Education.

Activities

According to Naace, it: provides information and support to 'Members, Sponsoring Partners and UK government departments on current issues relating to ICT in education'; funds 'networking opportunities' for teachers, Local Authorities, the IT industry and UK government agencies; and 'engages in consultation at local, regional, national and international levels'.
