Moira Wallace was Permanent Secretary at the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) from November 2008 until 31 October 2012.

Her 'unusual' and sudden resignation announcement as one of Whitehall's most senior civil servants in July 2012 prompted speculation of a continuing political crisis at DECC. Minister Ed Davey denied claims he had sacked Wallace. [1]
