Prior to joining Davidson Kempner Capital Management, Mr. Leffell was a Litigation Associate at the New York law firm Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler.
Mr. Leffell received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1984, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and earned a B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Clark University in 1981. Mr. Leffell lives in Westchester, New York with his wife Lisa and their four children: Benjamin, Adam, Lauren, and Ari.'[2]

Together with his wife and co-director of the foundation, Lisa Leffell, he was a committee member for the AIPAC Northeast Gala 2014. Leffell and his wife donated more than $100,000 at the event. The couple are members of AIPAC's national council.[4]
