Martin Indyk is a veteran lobbyist for Israel, the founding director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and the current director of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution. Despite his well known affiliation with the Israel Lobby, he was appointed by Bill Clinton as the US Ambassador to Israel. He frequently appears on CNN as a "middle-east expert".
