Mark Reckless was elected Conservative MP for Rochester & Strood in 2010. In September 2014 he resigned in order to fight a by-election for his seat as a UKIP candidate.[1]

Reckless lost his seat in the 2015 general election to the Conservative Party's Kelly Tolhurst by 7,133 votes.[2]
