Malcolm Fleming is a senior special adviser to the first minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon, working on the energy, business, tourism, fair work and employment portfolios. [1] Fleming has filled this role since July 2011 initially working under former Scottish first minister Alex Salmond, and remaining in the role despite sturgeon succeeding Salmond in November 2014. [2]

Background

Previous roles include campaigns and communications manager at Oxfam, communications officer at the Scottish National Party and senior parliamentary assistant to MSP Alasdair Morgan. [2]
