According to the British Expertise website [6] Lynceus has private and government clients in the UK, the Middle East (Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi)) and in Africa (Benin, Congo Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Togo). Typical projects include:

  • Kuwait – Managing and training the Coastal Protection Force
Lynceus have been responsible for training and equipping a Coastal Protection Force (CPF), made up of 150 Kuwaiti nationals, to patrol and protect a 19 x 2 km strip of coastal petrochemical infrastructure off Kuwait. Experts at Lynceus designed and delivered a 4 week course. The CPF now deals with the security of the inload and outward escort of all LNG-related shipping and this will require further more advanced first aid training, to mitigate the specific safety risks that this volatile and hazardous substance brings. Lynceus will deliver this training in the near future. Lynceus have been tasked to further enhance the utility of the CPF by providing SAR training for all boat operators. This training is now underway and the trained boat operators will become a vital component in the overall commitment to safety at sea that is demanded by organisations such as the International Maritime Organisation and others.[6]
  • Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria, through the United Nations (UN)
This was a challenging contract that demanded innovative solutions to the various issues that the EFCC faces in its quest to become one of the world’s leading economic crime investigation units. They required solutions to issues such as the physical security of the EFCC estate, data security, deployment of overt and covert surveillance, their equipment, custody and interviewing procedures and transport requirements. [6]
Lynceus delivered courses covering training, first aid, security operations and security supervising to members of the new in-house training team. BAPCO now have a fully integrated training team who are qualified teachers and supervisors and this is extremely invaluable to the security department. This new team of trainers is qualified to carry out all training in-house to the other security guards. A comprehensive security training phase is soon to be implemented within BAPCO so that all officers are at the same high professional standard. Lynceus trainers will now work with BAPCO trainers and when they have developed the necessary confidence and skills they will take control of the training, with Lynceus simply offering advice and mentoring. In time, BAPCO Security Department will be in the position to train their own security trainers.[6]
