Karin Smyth has been the Labour Party Member of Parliament for Bristol South since May 2015. [1]
Smyth replaced Dame Dawn Primarolo, who had served the constituency since 1987, as the Labour parliamentary candidate following her retirement in March 2015. [2] In the 2015 general election Smyth ensured the seat remained Labour with a majority of 7,128. [3]
