Career
Wheatland is a Chartered Engineer and spent his early career working for BICC Cables. His biography describes him as "a serial entrepreneur; responsible for, and associated with, several startups in a variety of sectors. He was the founder of Edengene, a UK growth and innovation consultancy, and before this was a managing consultant in the strategy practice of PA Consulting.
In 2007 Wheatland was the chairman of the executive board and a director of Strategic Communication Laboratories.[1] [2]
Education and Training
Wheatland was educated at the University of Leeds where he read electrical and electronic engineering. He has an MBA from The Wharton School and he is a qualified Chartered Engineer.
