Julian Brazier

Julian Brazier has been the Conservative MP for Canterbury since 1987.[1]

Brazier's parliamentary career has included periods as: opposition whip (Commons) 2001-02; shadow minister (Work and Pensions) 2002-03; shadow minister (Home Affairs) 2003-03; shadow minister (Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) 2003-05; and shadow minister (Transport) 2005-10.[1] He was appointed as a parliamentary under secretary of state at the Ministry of Defence in July 2014.[2]

Prior to this, Brazier served as an officer in the Territorial Army (Army Reserve) for 13 years, 6 of them in airborne forces. [3]
