Lt.Col John Tobias was one of 25 people killed in the 1994 Mull of Kintyre Chinook crash. A member of the Intelligence Corps, he was serving in HQ Northern Ireland at the time of his death.[1]

Tobias was awarded the MBE for distinguished service in Northern Ireland in October 1984.[2]
