Jimmy McLoughlin

In August 2016, Jimmy McLoughlin was hired as a special adviser in Downing Street, having worked on Theresa May's leadership campaign. [1]

Prior to his appointment, McLoughlin was the deputy head of policy and external relations at the Institute of Directors since 2014. IN his new role, he is expected to 'liaise with the UK's business community'.

He has also previously worked at Fleishman-Hillard and Bell Pottinger, as well as on Boris Johnson's 2008 mayor of London election campaign. [2]

He is the son of Patrick McLoughlin, chairman of the Conservative Party.
