Javier Solana, former EU Foreign Policy Chief, has been hired by Spanish energy and infrastructure company Acciona as adviser on international affairs. According to Acciona, Solana already started working for them in early January, only days after Solana's replacement by Catherine Ashton.[1]

Became a director of Hakluyt's international advisory board The Holdingham Group Advisory Board on the 1 Nov 2010. [2]
