Jason Smith is a freelance journalist associated with the libertarian anti-environmental LM network. He is a founder of the Birmingham Salon [1] and has written for Spiked [2], Culture Wars, the The Free Society [3], worked for Debating Matters[4], spoken at the Battle of Ideas [5] and appeared on WORLDbytes [6]. His blog promotes or links to a number of LM entities and personnel, including Spiked, Culture Wars, Brendan O'Neill, Future Cities Project, Helene Guldberg, Ferraris for All, Manifesto Club, Parents With Attitude, Bookshop Barnies, Kenan Malik, WORLDwrite and Audacity. Pages he likes on Facebook include Big Potatoes, Belfast Exposed (managed by Pauline Hadaway), Institute of Ideas, Global Uncertainties Schools Network, Battle of Ideas and Novo Argumente.

He studied at the University of Brighton and lives with LM network member Niall Crowley.
