Ian Swales was the Liberal Democrats member of Parliament (MP) for Redcar from 2010 to 2015.[1]

In July 2014 Swales announced he would not stand in the 2015 general election for 'personal reasons'.[2] He was replaced by Josh Mason who lost to the Labour Party's Anna Turley by 10,388 votes.[3]
