The current House of Lords Commissioner for Standards is Paul Kernaghan, former Chief Constable of the Hampshire Constabulary from 1999 until 2008.

The Commissioner is responsible for investigating complaints and allegations of breaches of the House of Lords Code of Conduct. This includes investigating any potential breaches of the rules on Members’ financial support and parliamentary facilities. The first Commissioner for Standards Annual Report was published on 1 December 2011 and can be downloaded here (pdf).[1]
