Hannah Bardell is the Scottish National Party (SNP) member of parliament for Livingston having won the seat in the May 2015 general election. [1]

Bardell gained over 56 per cent of the vote and a majority of 16,843 over her closest rival Graeme Morrice, who previously held the seat for the Labour Party between 2010 and 2015. [2]

In May 2015, Bardell was appointed to the position of Shadow SNP Westminster Group Leader regarding Fair Work and Employment.[3]

Background

Bardell started off her career in commercial television, working for STV Glasgow and GMTV London. Following this, she went to work for the SNP as part of their 2007 central campaign team producing and presenting SNP TV online. [2]
