The General Zionists were the forerunners of todays supporters of Likud in the UK. According to the WZO the Confederation of Zionists is a 'modern day equivalent' of the General Zionist movement.[1]

These groups have been factional and vied over the names they would use.

One faction (the directors of which are David Berens, Robert Fraser, Martin Rankoff and Solomon Unsdorfer) has been known by the following names:

The other faction registered the company Herut UK in 2020 (Directors Damon Lenszner and Harry Saul Markham) after a 'relaunch' in 2018 at which Markham spoke along with David Collier, Mandy Blumenthal and her husband Mark Lewis.[2]
