Career

In 1992 Belfield was appointed the chief executive of Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup.[1]

He began working for the Department of Health as director general for commissioning in 2003 and handed in his notice in 2010 saying he wished to take up a role outside the Department.[2]

He was appointed head of commissioning at KPMG in 2010.[1]

In January 2011 Belfield KPMG was awarded one of the first contracts to a private company to provide support to GPs on commissioning. Belfield made this announcement in his new role as an associate partner at KPMG. [3]
