Edward Wood, First Earl of Halifax
Edward Wood, (1881-1959) First Earl of Halifax, was a Conservative party politician.[1]
He served as Foreign Secretary from February 1939 to January 1941 when he was appointed Ambassador to the United States, a post he held until 1946.[1]
