Deutschen Partei Die Linke (The Left) is a political party in Germany. They focus on uniting the left, and work towards a democratic and socially oriented, ecological, feminist and anti-patriarchal, open and pluralist, belligerent and tolerant, anti-fascist and anti-racist path, pursuing a consistent policy of peace. They were formerly called Partei des Demokratischen Sozialismus, PDS from 1989 until 2007. They are a part of the European Left, as well as the social and peace movements.[1]
