Derek Leith

Derek Leith is an oil and gas tax specialist who is managing partner of Ernst & Young's Aberdeen office and its head of tax in Scotland.

Career

Leith has 21 years of experience of the oil and gas industry having worked at HMRC and as a senior tax adviser from 1990-95 at BP [1] before joining Ernst & Young in Aberdeen in 1995. [2]

Affiliations

  • Member of the Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) taskforce responsible for making representations to the UK Government on behalf of the industry
  • Former member of the Steering Group of the UK Oil Industry Taxation Committee (UKOITC), a former chairman of the UKOITC Professional Sub-Group and a past UKOITC secretary. [3]
