David Poley joined The [[Portman Group]] in 1997 and became its Chief Executive in September 2006 (The Portman Group is the UK alcohol producers’ social responsibility organisation).  He has been heavily involved in the development of the industry’s Code of Practice on the Naming, Packaging and Promotion of Alcoholic Drinks. David Poley

Ashworth Replaces Poley as Portman CEO

Henry Ashworth replaced David Poley as chief executive of The Portman Group in September 2011. [5] it is not known if Poley has another job, he agreed to stay on as chief executive until a replacement was found after he announced his resignation in June 2011. [6]
