David Mills is a former special adviser to the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury. Previously, Mills produced the GMTV Sunday Programme for seven years. [1] He now works at The Guardian as their group account director, for the society & education sector at the Guardian News & Media department. [2]

Background

Mills was head of the Guardian global development professionals network at Guardian News & Media before being appointed as their group account director. [2] Previous to this he was also the editor of The Guardian social enterprise network. [1]

Mills worked as political adviser to the Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury in the House of Commons for four months, and also worked as a special adviser to the Chief Secretary to the Cabinet Office for eleven months in 2010. [2]

Before working for the Government, Mills was a series producer for the Politics Show at the BBC, and was also the deputy editor of the Sunday Programme at GMTV. [2]
