Conrad Bailey was appointed as senior policy adviser to David Cameron in May 2013.

Background

Bailey is a career civil servant and a former head of conflict department at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He also served as acting command secretary at the Ministry of Defence. [1]

Previous roles include trustee/non-exec to the The Lifeboat Fund Charity. Bailey has also held other roles at the Ministry of Defence: acting command secretary, assistant chief of staff: policy, media, legal, industrial policy and private secretary to the minister for defence equipment and support. [2]

Education

Bailey studied at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy where he achieved a Certificate in International Security Policy. Before this, he studied International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Bailey attended Kingswood School in Bath. [2]
