The Claws Foundation is a US-based grantmaking foundation. Described as 'low-profile' by Inside Philanthrophy magazine, it does not appear to accept unsolicited proposals. [1]

Foundation directors

*Arthur Dantchik - via the Claws Foundation, Dantchik 'earmarks funds for policy outfits, many of the libertarian variety. Other areas of grantmaking include Jewish causes, and children's health'. He sits on the board of Institute for Justice, a nonprofit libertarian public interest law firm. 'These include the Cato Institute, Competitive Enterprise Institute, Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), The Ayn Rand Institute, the Reason Foundation, and the Niskanen Center, 'a libertarian advocacy organization that works to change public policy through direct engagement in the policymaking process'. [1]

According to Inside Philanthrophy:

Dantchik and some of the other Susquehanna founders keep a rather low profile, making it difficult to know what drives some of their giving. It's clear that Dantchik is especially interested in the policy space, and should be watched carefully in this area.[1]

Donors

Arthur Dantchik, founder of Susquehanna International Group, a commodities trading, gave a donation of $10,000,000 according to 2011 IRS filings [2]
