Caroline Sacks

Caroline Jane Samuel, the Viscountess Bearsted (formerly Caroline Sacks) is a private medical practitioner based in the family estate Farley Hall, a large 18th-century grade I listed country house in the English village of Farley Hill, in the civil parish of Swallowfield, Berkshire, near Reading. She is also on the advisory board of the US based anti-Muslim think tank the Gatestone Institute.

Career

Sacks 'qualified at St Thomas's Hospital , London University in 1975 and worked as a full time GP Principal in Paddington and Private Occupational Health Practitioner for 25 years. In 2004, Lady Bearsted received a Master of Science degree, with Distinction, in General Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at King's College, London University. Her thesis was on the Role of Molecular Chaperones in the Pathogenesis of Neurodegenerative Disease.'[1]

Sacks 'founded' FarleyMed which 'offers private medical care to individuals and companies, providing rapid and personal services with flexible appointments... It is situated in a tranquil garden setting in the grounds of Farley Hall, part of a large Estate owned by Lord and Lady Bearsted'.[1]

Sacks is married to Nicholas Alan Samuel, 5th Viscount Bearsted a family that has a multigenerational connection with Shell Transport and Trading since the company was founded by the first Viscount Bearsted Marcus Samuel in 1897 before merging to form royal Dutch Shell in 1907.
