Caroline Flynn-Macleod is a partner in lobbying firm Terrington Management. She is a former director of First Defence, a now defunct defence and security think tank and consultancy, and was previously a lobbyist for GEC.
Flynn-MacLeod also worked for Lord Bramall between 2011 and 2013, and held a parliamentary pass during that period.
She is a former Conservative Party parliamentary candidate.
Career
- From 1997-1999 Flynn-MacLeod was senior business analyst and head of parliamentary affairs at GEC plc, where she developed productive relations between the GEC defence businesses and NATO, as well as the governments of Central and Eastern European countries. Prior to joining GEC Caroline served on NATO's International Staff as Director of the Briefing Programme for politicians, diplomats and journalists during the four years following the fall of the Berlin Wall (1990-1994). Subsequently she worked as Director of the Regional Resources Office for the US Information Agency, at the U.S. Embassy in London. Since 1999 she has been a partner in Terrington Management LLP.[1]
In 2005 she fought the Middlesbrough constituency seat for the Conservative Party.
Education
- Flynn-MacLeod gained a B.A. (Hons) in European Studies, from the University of Bradford, and studied European Law and Politics at the University of Aix-Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, France. She won a postgraduate scholarship to the College of Europe, Bruges Belgium where she furthered her European Studies, and was trained to work and negotiate in an international environment. She is a fluent French speaker. [1]

In 2011 Lord Bramall sponsored a parliamentary pass for Flynn-Macleod [2] [3] whom she was listed on the House of Lords Register as working for. She held the pass until late 2013.
