The Campaign Against Health Fraud was set up in 1989 by broadcaster Nick Ross, Caroline Richmond, Vincent Marks, Petr Skrabenek. It later changed its name to HealthWatch.[1] [2] According to Richmond, writing in 1989, 'Deficiencies in the law, and persuasive fraudsters preying on real and imagined health fears, continue to cause great concern to victims, the professions and society as a whole. The Campaign Against Health Fraud has been formed to address this thriving and malignant relic of more desperate times.'[2]
