British Muslims For Israel is a a pro-Israel advocacy project of the Institute for Middle Eastern Democracy (IMED).

History

It was founded in 2011 by Hasan Afzal and Sam Westrop from within IMED.ref>Uncommon Courage, The Atheist Conservative, accessed 17 July 2012</ref>

It gives the following explanation of its thinking on its website:

Here at BMFI, we do not believe he Arab-Israeli conflict is a war over land or religion, but it is a clash of ideas. Israel, as a Western liberal democracy, extends equal rights to all of its citizens, regardless of religion or race. Muslims have more rights in Israel than in any other country in the Middle East.[1]
