Ashley Lumsden was appointed as special adviser for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, advising Business Secretary Vince Cable in April 2014. [1]

History

Lumsden was a political consultant for the Greater London Authority for two years between 2012 and 2014. Previous to this, Lumsden was the Leader of the London Borough of Lambeth Liberal Democrat Group for seven years. [2] Between 1999 and 2012 Lumsden was a London Agent for the Liberal Democrats. In May 2002 Lumsden took up the role of executive member for finance at the London Borough of Lambeth for four years. He was also the Chair of the Pension Fund for the London Borough of Lambeth. [2]

Education

Lumsden obtained a degree in Mathematics from Imperial College London in 1996. [2]
