Anthony Palmer is a former member of the British Army, serving between 1970 and 2005, most recently as deputy chief of defence staff (personnel), a former chairman of the Pakistan Society and consultant for Fujitsu Services Ltd.

Army

Palmer joined the British Army in 1970, serving in Northern Ireland and Germany early in his career. In 1995 he attended the Royal College of Defence Studies, before working on the budget at the Ministry of Defence and being the army's representative to the Strategic Defence Review in 1996, in 1998 he was appointed director general army training and recruiting, in 2002 he was appointed deputy commander operations in Sarajevo[1] and finally working as deputy chief of defence staff (personnel) until his retirement in 2005.[2]

Post army

In 2006 he was appointed chairman of the Pakistan Society, until 2012.[3] In November 2006 he was given "unconditional approval" by ACOBA to become a consultant for Fujitsu Services Ltd.[4]
