Anne Milton, the Conservative government whip and former health minister

Anne Milton is a former UK Conservative Party health minister who was appointed government whip in 2012. She has been the MP for Guildford since 2005. [1]

In the general election in May 2015, Milton was re-elected with a majority of 22,448 and became the first female Conservative government deputy chief whip. [2]

Career

Milton was appointed to the Health Select Committee in 2005 until she was made shadow minister for tourism, gambling and licensing. A former shadow minister for health in 2007, she also served as minister for public health in the new coalition government between (2010-12).

She was appointed government whip, having previously served as government whip to the Lord Commissioner of the HM Treasury. [3]
