Sir Alan Arthur Walters (17 June 1926 - 3 January 2009) was British neoliberal economist. He was Chief Economic Adviser to Margaret Thatcher from 1981 to 1983 and again in 1989. [1] He was one of the original trustees of the Wincott Foundation, [2] a neoliberal trust set up by Ralph Harris of the Institute of Economic Affairs in 1969.
