Adam Burgess is associated with the libertarian anti-environmental LM network. He has written for Spiked,[1] is married to another member of the network, Tracey Brown, and has spoken at the London Legal Salon. [2]

Burgess is a senior lecturer in Sociology at the University of Kent in the same department as the network guru Frank Furedi. Burgess neglects to mention any of the elements of the network on his page on the University of Kent Website.[3] His work on risk and mobile phones - taking the line that there is no risk - has been featured on Spiked online. This formed part of a 'debate' on 'Mobile Society' sponsored by O2 the mobile phone network.[4] The mobile phone scare is presented as a lesson in how journalists and policymakers should not react to concerns about a new technology.
