Ian Skelly is the former owner of the Ian Skelly Group of car dealers, which he sold in 1989 for £18.3 million. He gave more than £5,000 to the Labour Party in 1999-2000.

He runs a major car dealers in Motherwell and is a Director of Rangers Football Club.
