According to the Mizrachi UK website:

Mizrachi (an acronym for Merkaz Ruchani or “spiritual centre”) was founded in 1902 in Vilna at a world conference of religious Zionists called by Rabbi Yitzchak Yaacov Reines. Mizrachi believes that the Torah should be at the centre of Zionism and sees Jewish nationalism as a tool for achieving religious objectives. Mizrachi played a role prior to the creation of the State of Israel in building a network of religious schools that exist to this day. Mizrachi UK runs several educational and community programmes, promoting and strengthening the Jewish people’s connection to the Land of Israel... Mizrachi UK is part of the global World Mizrachi movement. <ref>Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name
