Paul currently is the Executive Vice President, Operations and Finance, for Glevum Associates, and he also serves as Senior Adviser to Venture Management.

Background

Mr Serotkin earned his BA degree in accounting from Northeastern University, where he later on also studied business and finance, and a MA degree in Communications from Boston University [1].

He started his career as a Director with the Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE)[2], an association helping to provide a legislative voice for small business at the state and federal levels and to make practical information available to help business owners grow their companies. Since then he has served on several company and organization boards, includng Association for Corporate Growthh (ACG))[3], the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), the New England Chapter Board of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)[4], the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education (MBAE), and the Turnkey Solutions [5].

Paul continued his career in corporate world managing corporate development for Pacer Infotec, a defence company providing engineering services and producing flight simulators and helicopter navigation systems. In 1998 Pacer Infotec merged with Intermetrics forming AverStar,a software engineering company providing services to for example NASA and the US Department of Defence [6], where Paul became the Director of Corporate Development. In 2000 the company was acquired by Titan Corporation. Upon acquisition by AverStar, Paul became Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Strategic Planning, for AverCom Corp., which is a Titan subsidiary.


In 2002 Mr Serotkin founded Minuteman Ventures LLC, an investment bank that provides mergers and acquisitions advisory services to support corporate and private equity buyers and sellers that operate in the government sector - including homeland security, defence, emergency response, logistics, intelligence and civilian agencies [7] . In 2008 Minuteman was merged into Venture Management, where he still works as a Senior Advisor. The two companies formed a boutique investment bank which provides M&A advisory services to technology based businesses, particularly for professional services firms in the aerospace, defence, intelligence and homeland security sectors [8]. He is also a former Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Corporate Planning for UFA, a software engineering firm which supplies simulators to civil aviation, military, and university customers all over the world [9].
