As stated Iain Duncan Smith co founded the CSJ along with the help of Philippa Stroud, however due to his appointment as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions in May 2010 he stepped down as Chairman of the CSJ, but is now recognised as the founder and patron of the thinktank - Globalisation: Centre for Social Justice. He used to be the leader of Conservative party, until people had a vote of no confidence for him. [1]

Iain Duncan Smith (Work and Pensions Secretary and former Conservative leader)claimed that the unemployed should get a bus to find work instead of being 'static'. He said that Merthyr Tydfil in south Wales was a prime example of this. [2]
