Hi, I am a student at The University of Strathclyde, currently working towards the Mres in Social Research.  I am particularly interested in researching aspects of contemporary Scottish life and am presently looking at the role of Scottish & Newcastle.  When I am not sweating over course work I like to watch the telly, drink and moan.

Claire Harkins is the proud owner of Elton John's first piano, although without musical ability herself, the piano has become an important part her life.  The piano is not out of place in the sulubrious surroundings of it's new home, Glasgow's sought after Gorbals district.  [http://www.gorbalslive.org.uk/]
