Ryan Coetzee joined the Liberal Democrats as strategy director in 2012. [1] Coetzee is helping Clegg to draft the Lib Dems manifesto for the upcoming general election.

Background

Coetzee was the Democratic Alliance’s chief strategist in 1999 in South Africa, he also served as a South African MP between 2004 and 2009. In 2004, he became the party’s CEO, organising election campaigns as well as party finances. He was special adviser to Helen Zille, the party’s leader, in 2009. [2]
